Big business and Linux team up for Hyperledger


A collaboration between the Linux Foundation and a number of big businesses, names including IBM, Intel and a number of wall street banks is set to bring blockchain technology to the main stream. The team have called the project the Hyperledger and proposes to create an cross industry open standard. The representation comes from all areas including supply chain, manufacturing and technology that aims to use their own version of Bitcoin’s blockchain. With all members contributing to the code base this is the first time we have seen such a collaboration of its kind, especially considering the open source principle at the core of the project.
